Good practices in the use of information technology and communication (ITC) in Ecuadorian universities

Abstract
With the Purpose to do a good practice guide for the management of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the teaching-learning process (TLP) for Higher Education Institutions in Ecuador, a questionnaire was developed and applied to 133 teachers of two Universities and results were grouped by age and types of contracts. Some the relevant results was almost the 80% of teachers have a full time contract and the ages are between 30 to 54 years old. The most used tools are a PC and projector, followed by virtual education in the Universities platforms. The good practice guide proposal in the use of TLP, include smart phones, tablets, social media, online programs office, data warehouse applied to ensure to improvement of teaching and should be considered in the process of recruitment and selection of teachers and researchers in all Ecuadorian Universities.
