Use of ICT: Possible links with cognitive and interpersonal skills in an adolescents group

Abstract
Major changes have taken place on everyday life because of the insertion of technologies of information and communication (ICT). This paper aim is to describe habits usage of technologies and cognitive and interpersonal skills with the objective of finding possible relations. Nineteen adolescents 15-16-17 years old participated. Surveys about ICT usage habits and interpersonal abilities were administered along with six subtest of the WISC-III battery. On a descriptive level, we found relations between the tests scores and the screen use declared. Nevertheless no statistically significant differences were found. In general, the most expose subjects performed better on cognitive tests and the minus expose group in interpersonal abilities tasks.
