Abstract

During the last decades, scientific and technological knowledge has been considered a strategical for development purposes and a key tool to redefine social relationships in terms of economic growth and social inclusion. In Argentina, the scientific and technological areas have currently achieved unusual stimulus and recent expansion. At university level, changes impact, among other dimensions, on research guidelines and orientation. In this scenario, the main purpose of this article seeks to analyze the recent emergence of different orientation tools for research which influence national universities areas, and, at the same time, to investigate and compare the logic for strategic research orientation in specific institutions, through their own funding tools. One of the hypotheses which guide this paper is that, in recent years, in a scenario of multiple flows of priority areas policies, some national universities promote research orientation through different logic, and in a dynamic, situational and pragmatic framework.
