Informational Literacy. A Facebook task to explore virtual museums

Abstract

Informational Literacy involves, among other things, the development of skills to learn and develop in virtual environments. The University plays a key role in the formation of professionals, including selection, ethical use, production and understanding of information technology in different formats. The article presents a learning task given to college students. This task was solving in groups (in facebook context) and required exploring virtual museums. To assess the perceptions of students about the task a questionnaire was administered at the end of the experience. Students stressed that the task allowed them to learn about technology and management skills related to teamwork. The importance of promoting from college this type of learning experiences in virtual contexts was also highlighted.
