Resumo
A Ciência Cidadã é uma abordagem que promove o envolvimento do público em geral em diferentes actividades de investigação. Como parte do movimento de Ciência Aberta, sua institucionalização tem avançado nos últimos anos, inclusive na Argentina. Este artigo analisa os principais desenvolvimentos desta abordagem a nível internacional e local, e apresenta o seu potencial de articulação com as políticas públicas em matéria socioambiental através de um estudo realizado no âmbito de um caso argentino de Ciência Cidadã Social.
